This is a collection of photos (hosted on Flickr), and videos (hosted on YouTube), from past events.

From 1992's National Music Day Parade in London, through 2007's Centenary of Scouting, and upto the present day.

Many of the events below has a "badge" which shows thumbnails of 3 random photos from the event. Click on a photo to view the photo in a larger size, some photos even have much larger sizes available than we have had before. You can even leave comments on the photo!

Remembrance Sunday 2009

Here are some photos of the band at this year's Remembrance Sunday Parade, in Enfield Town during the afternoon. We only did this one parade this year. Three of our members attended the Cenotaph Parade in Whitehall, London in the morning.

Metropolitan Police Cadets Parade - Central London 2009

Here is a set of photos from Meljay, taken by various people, from the big event of 2009.

We were asked to be one of four bands to lead divisions of the Met Police's Volunteer Cadets for their 21st Anniversary on Sunday 14th June in Central London.

The Parade was from Wellington Barracks, and marched down Birdcage Walk to Horse Guards Parade. The ceremonies was watched by over 7,000 people! After the ceromonies each band led their divisions up The Mall, past Buckingham Palace and back to the Barracks. All this happened the day after Trooping The Colour, and three days after the Royal Marines Massed Band had Beaten Retreat!

The other bands involved were the Metropolitan Police Pipe Band, the Nottinghamshire Police Pipe Band, and the British Airways Brass Band. The Boy's Brigade's London Massed Bugle Band did a static display on Horse Guards Parade, during the time that the audience was assembling.

Enfield District Scouts AGM 2009

Here is a set of photos from the Enfield District AGM, on 21st May 2009, at Enfield Civic Centre. Each year we play outside the Civic Centre to greet the leaders and dignitaries arriving for the Scouts AGM.

We also play a couple of tunes inside the Council Chamber at the start of the meeting.

St George's Day Parades - Enfield and Haringey 2009

This year we did two parades, Haringey District in the morning, and Enfield in the afternoon.

The Haringey Parade was from Turnpike Lane, through Wood Green, and Bounds Green to Scout Park. About 3 miles!!

The Enfield Parade, in a departure from previous years, started at the Enfield Grammar Upper School, through The Town, and finished at the Enfield Grammar Lower School in Silver Street. Everyone walked with their Groups, and many were in fancy dress (with a St George theme). There were hundreds of St George's flags being waved. There were even several dragons!

Lord Mayor's Show - City of London - November 2008

In this year's Lord Mayor's Show, we took part in not one, but two massed bands.

Many of our young members aged between 11 and 18, made up the Jack Petchey Foundation Unity Band, along with Army, Air, and Sea Cadets.

The rest of our members joined the Scout Association massed band, with five other Scout Bands. These were Alderley, Thurmaston, Spen Valley, Halesowen and Tonbridge.

1st Enfield Scout Group's Centenary - 27th August 2008

On the 27th August 2008, to the day, the 1st Enfield (St James) Scout Group celebrated it's Centenary.

The band led a parade from the Scout Hut, around the corner to the St James Church for the Centenary Service and back again. Here are three videos from the event.

St George's Day Parades 2008 - Enfield & Haringey Districts

Here is a set of photos from two of the St George's Day Parades we did this year. One of the photos is a clipping from the Enfield Advertiser newspaper, showing the band marching through Enfield Town.

The other photos show the band leading the Haringey District's Parade to Scout Park in Bounds Green.

Live '07 - O2 Arena, Greenwich - November 2007

The final event to celebrate the Centenary of Scouting was the Live '07 Scouting Festival at the O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome) in Greenwich. This was a live show showcasing the many facets of Scouting.

The Band was invited to play outside the Arena, to entertain the visitors arriving for the Show. Here is a collection of photos from this event. Apologies as most of them were taken in low light and they have not come out too well.

Lord Mayor's Show - City of London - November 2007

To celebrate Scouting's Centenary, several Scout Bands put together a massed Scout Band to take part in this year's Lord Mayor's Show. We did this event back in 2002 and it was good to be back in the event.

The band was called The Promise Centenary Scout Band, and was right in the middle of the parade. The event was broadcast on TV here and around the world.

21st World Scout Jamboree, Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex - 2007

Here are some photos taken at the 21st World Scout Jamboree, which was held in Chelmsford, in Essex, during the Centenary of Scouting in 2007. The band was invited to take part in the Closing Ceremony (in fact two of our members participated in the whole of the Jamboree). Unfortunately the heavens opened during the actual Ceremony, and we got soaked, but it was still a great experience to play in front of over 40,000 Scouts from around the world!

Codicote Village Day - 2007

Enfield District Centenary Camp - Gilwell Park - 2007

In June 2007, the whole of Enfield District camped together at Gilwell Park, celebrating the Centenary of Scouting. Former member of the band, Ian Beckwith, opened the camp by blowing the original horn that Baden-Powell blew to open the first Scout Camp, which was held on Brownsea Island in 1907.

District AGM 2007

At the AGM this year we did a static display outside the Civic Centre, actually making it the World Premiere of our 2007 Competition Routine's music! We then marched inside the Council Chamber to play a fanfare to open the meeting. Afterwards we took the following photo to send to our Bandmaster Richard, who had had an operation.

London New Year's Day Parade 2007

Here are some photos and a video of the band marching through Westminster in London, during the New Year's Day Parade 2007. We were leading the London Contingent of Scouts who will be going to the Jamboree in Essex this July. We were some of the first Scouts in the WORLD to celebrate the Centenary of Scouting in 2007!
